The Beach

Sarasota is blessed with some of the prettiest beaches anywhere in the world. Siesta Key Beach is consistently voted as one of the country’s top beaches and is known for its incredible powdery sand. Lido Key is another great beach option and is just a few minutes away from downtown.

St. Armand’s Circle

Great restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and unique shops. It’s close to downtown, just over the Ringling Causeway.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

Located on Sarasota Bay, Selby Gardens has been recognized as one of the top ten botanical gardens in the United States. 811 South Palm Avenue. Open daily from 10am to 5pm.

Ringling Mansion and Museum of Art

The Ringling was home to John Ringling, of the Ringling Brother’s Circus. The grounds include the Ringling Circus Museum, the Ringling Art Museum and the Ringling Ca’d’Zan Mansion. The Ringling is located at 5401 Bay Shore Road and is open 10am to 5pm daily.

Mote Marine Aquarium

This aquarium has a Shark habitat, Stingray touch pool, and Manatee and Sea Turtle exhibits. 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway. Open daily from 10am to 5pm.

Downtown

Downtown has dozens of shops, restaurants and art galleries. Rose & Ivy is one of our favorite restaurants.
